Embedding with the team at Extraordinary Journeys (a luxury travel company) in early 2020, Holly worked as the ad hoc marketing director to develop a marketing strategy, brand identity, and marketing plan alongside the company’s CEO. As vaccine rollout led to an increase in travel, EJ added staff to the marketing department to implement the plan. Holly’s role was setting up the foundational systems for marketing activities (project management, social, web, email, PPC, SEO, public relations, high-touch client engagement, repeat + referral, special events, lead generation, analytics, etc.), building capacity in the internal team through demonstration, practice, and writing SOPs, assembling a stable of talent to support the in-house team in (front-end developer, graphic design, SEO specialists, etc.), and eventually providing job descriptions, budget projections, analytic baselines, and a refreshed plan for 2022.
